These are some of the words used by its curators to describe Conversation Piece, a Jamaican art experience with a difference. Curated by Aiesha Panton of Pussbackfoot, and Stephanie Campbell of HalfWayTree Roots, Conversation Piece is a curated retail experience series that highlights select emerging & classic artists and designers whose work is considered to be fresh, beautiful, objects of desire.
The curators’ island wide hunt for Jamaican-made or Jamaica-inspired objects & experiences that fit the description above, led them to beloved art & photography, delicious eats, unusual home accents, handmade bags, statement jewelery & much more. These will be revealed soon, as, on December 11 & 12, the Christmas 2011 edition of the Conversation Piece retail experience will be hosted at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston.
